This year, one of the most iconic watch collections on the planet is marking its 75th anniversary. Worn with pride by royals and sports stars alike, not to mention a certain debonaire secret agent, the Omega Seamaster has become the go-to for style-conscious watch lovers that don’t want to compromise on functionality or pedigree. As part of the celebrations, the brand is introducing a range of anniversary models, including the super cool Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in Summer Blue
Behind the dial is Omega’s famed Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, officially certified by METAS. Beating at a steady 25,200 vph, this self-winding movement is capable of storing up to 55 hours of power reserve. And although you can’t see it behind the special 75th-anniversary solid case back – more on that in a moment – the movement still features a number of nice finishing touches, including rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in Arabesque, as well as blackened screws, barrel and balance wheel. The final 75th-anniversary touch is the engraving on the solid caseback, which depicts Poseidon, the Greek god of the ocean, with a pair of seahorses.
